I grew up in a medical household with my father a Dr and my mother a physiotherapist both whom had an avid interest in alternative medicines and treatments.

However it was farming, horses and animals in general that drew my attention. The health of the land and animals has always fascinated me and I went on to be one of the first two females to be accepted and trained at FlockHouse Farm Training Institute. That is going back many years and it caused quite a stir!

Fast forward a three decades and my youngest son (aged 14) was walking onto a rugby field and suddenly lost his eyesight, he then lost his speech and then total consciousness. After 3 days in intensive care he slowly came back to us and 18 months later he was back to normal (annoying his brothers and sister!).

But there was more to come….another year down the track and he was unable to hold food down. This went on for months. He had been seen multiple times by Dr’s and Specialist’s but nobody could get to the bottom of it. We had heard about Dale Speedy and Contact Care and at this stage were ready to try anything. One treatment from Dale and the vomiting stopped!

The loss of consciousness and vomiting were related and we traced it back to a time when Spencer had been riding the farm bike (and taken his helmet off) and hit his head but never told us. That was close to 2 years previous to losing his eyesight and consciousness.

I believe that without Contact Care it would be very doubtful that Spencer would be with us today. (Or if he was he would be very, very thin!!)

And that was reason enough to get out there and start training in Contact Care so that I could in turn help others!!
