COURSES


The Contact C.A.R.E Human Foundation courses are held over two days. They are designed for people who wish to learn the basics of CC to be able to help themselves and their friends and family.

These courses are also helpful for other health professionals interested in an approach to working with impact injuries that will compliment their clinical work. Each Foundation course is from 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. If you wish to continue to become a fully fledged Practitioner you will need to complete four Foundation courses and then continue for a further two years of Practitioner training. FURTHER INFORMATION


The Contact C.A.R.E Equine and also the Human Foundation courses are held over two days. They are designed for people who wish to learn the basics of CC to be able to help themselves and their friends and family, horses and other pets.

The Equine course is centred around learning to specifically treat the horse however what you learn in this course will also enable you to perform basic treatments on your family, friends and pets.

These courses are also helpful for other health professionals interested in an approach to working with impact injuries that will compliment their clinical work. Each Foundation course is from 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. 


If you want to continue on with your training to fully qualify in Human, Equine or Canine here is what you need to do.


For people wishing to become fully fledged Equine Practitioners you will need to:

1. Complete four Foundation courses. These can be a mixture of Equine and Human.

2. 80 hours of recorded practical work.

3. Pass a foundation assessment.

Once foundation level has been completed the student practitioner continues onto the following:


1. 4x Practitioner level courses- weekends

2. 1x Practitioner Skills weekend.

3. 120 hours of recorded practical work on top of the previous 80 hours of foundation. A total of 200 hours.

4. 3 x case studies.

5. Anatomy and Physiology - Equine.

6. 1 peer evaluation from a qualified Equine ConTact C.A.R.E Practitioner.

7. Assessment with Camille Nelson

8. Assessment with Dale Speedy.



If you are wanting to qualify as a Human Practitioner you will need:

Year One

1. 1. Complete four Foundation courses. At least one of these courses needs to be Equine as it will give you a deeper understanding of how CC works.

2. 80 hours of recorded practical work.

3. Pass a foundation Assessment.


Once foundation level has been completed the student practitioner continues onto the following:

Practitioner Training: weekend courses

Year Two.weekend courses

One intake per year - March.

1. 5 x courses 

This covers Cranial interconnected relationships and extremities.

CC Skeletal Self Defence Systems

Practitioner Skills

Complete your choice of Human Anatomy and Physiology course.


Year 3. weekend courses

1. 2 x courses

2. Understanding the Bone Organ Support Systems

a) Lung/ Large Intestine, Bladder/Kidney, Triple Warmer/ Pericardium, Stomach/Spleen, Liver, Gall Bladder, Heart/ Small Intestine.

3. 4 x Evaluations with qualified Practitioners working in an established clinic.

4. Evaluation with Kym

5. Evaluation with Dale.

6. Have completed 300 client sheets.

To attend a Canine Skills course you need:


1. To have completed 1 Foundation Course.

Then if you want to continue on and become a Canine Practitioner you will need:

 To have completed 4 Foundation Courses, one of which needs to be Equine.


1. Complete 2 Canine Skills Courses

2. Canine Anatomy and Physiology - course of your choice by correspondence.

2. 60 hours of Canine treatments.

4. 3 x case studies.

5. Assessment with Camille Nelson.

APPOINTMENT TIMES

Clinic appointments may be booked online for humans, and companion animals that would be comfortable in a clinic situation. (e.g. dogs, cats, birds).

The clinic is situated at 50 John Street Whangarei and attended on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday.


For equine, horse and rider balancing and companion animals (that are not comfortable in a clinic situation) please contact Lisa directly. 

Travelling days for these appointments are Wednesday’s and Thursday’s.

Whangarei, Kerikeri, Dargaville as well as other area’s by arrangement.
